HARAM Opens Fire At
Sleeping Students In A
Dormitory Killing Over
40,NIGERIA.
Over 40 students from Yobe State
College of Agriculture were brutally
murdered and scores injured after
a group of armed men ambushed
their dormitories and opening fire.
The group believe to be Boko
Haram an affiliate to Al Qaeda and
Al Shabaab stormed into the boys'
hostels and went for a killing
spree. The attack took place at
around 1am on Sunday morning
according to AFP sources.
The militants who are believed to
have a good knowledge of the
school's architecture,veered off the
ladies' hostels which is just
adjacent to the boys'
Boko Haram which stands for
"Western Education Is Evil" are
opposed to westernization and are
driven to promote Islam education
instead of the "evil".
This recent attack follows yet
another one in the same manner at
a neighbouring school which left
42 students dead.
The militants' menace has been on
the forefront of nightmares facing
Nigerians president Jonathan
Goodluck who imposed a state of
emergency in the South parts of
the country where the militants
are concentrated.
In one of the worst committed
attacks,the militants bombed a
Christian church during the
Christmas Eve's celebrations killing
hundreds of worshipers.
